Approximately 80 percent of all college students change their major at least once.
Rather than choosing a major by flipping a coin or randomly guessing, approach the process in a wise and thoughtful way. The UD Career Center recommends the Life Design framework to help move you from where you are to where you want to be.
Students have access to resources that provide easy and practical ways to help you sort out your major and future career paths.
Career and Personality Assessment Resources
PathwayU helps you think about what’s important to you and explore career paths related to your values, interests, personality and workplace preferences. Results and career matches are available immediately—no appointment needed. Your results are also mapped to the UD Major Finder so you can see which majors connect to your career matches.
Career pages contain videos, salary information, job responsibilities and skill sets needed. You can take this assessment and access other resources, like the “What Can I Do With This Major?” resource in the Career Center Canvas Get to Know Yourself module.

UD Career Outcomes allows you to view post-graduation employment, salary and continuing education data for UD students; filterable by degree, college or major.
Stepping Blocks lets you research your future career with real-world stats about your major, your interests and potential jobs and industries with career and education searches based on millions of others.
