Delaware resident qualifications
We offer significant discounts to Delaware residents for the Intensive English Program.
Many Delaware residents are eligible to receive substantial tuition discounts for ELI courses. To qualify, you must:
- Be a permanent resident of the U.S. (green card holder) or a U.S. citizen; AND
- Have been a permanent resident or U.S. citizen for at least one year; AND
- Have lived in the state of Delaware for at least one year (i.e., the year prior to the start date of the program).
If you meet these criteria and can provide proof, then you may qualify for special pricing for Delaware residents.
Course fee waivers
Full-time UD faculty, professional and staff members, and visiting scholars who qualify for UD benefits (as well as their dependents) may use their Fee Waivers to participate in the Intensive English Program or the Evening Program. Currently, University of Delaware employees are only allowed two course fee waivers for the ELI in one lifetime.
