Wire Transfer Fee Assessment
When a wire transfer is initiated, your originating bank can directly wire the funds to M&T Bank. You may be assessed a fee by your bank. If your bank uses an intermediary bank (usually a New York Bank), the intermediary bank may also assess a fee (approx. $10 to $30) which is your responsibility to pay.
BILLING INFORMATION
The following is important information about billing:
- Students (and their agents, if applicable) receive the tuition bill by email approximately one to two weeks before the beginning of their session of study. If you have not yet received your tuition bill and you will begin your studies within one week, contact elibilling@udel.edu.
- The bill should be paid on or before the first day of the session. Bills may also be paid in installments (see below).
PAYING IN INSTALLMENTS
Some students choose to pay their bill in several parts, or “installments.”
We accept payments in installments; however, there are two rules:
- A late fee of US $50 will be added to the student’s bill;
- An installment fee plan of US $50 will be added to the student’s bill; AND
- The entire amount of the bill must be paid by the end of the student’s session of study.
Email elibilling@udel.edu if you would like to enroll in this plan.
ELI Refund Policy
The first week of the program is considered “Drop/Add” week. During that week, students are able to withdraw from the program and obtain a full refund of the tuition paid for that session of study.
Exception: A student who has prepaid for two sessions in order to obtain a discounted price is not eligible for a refund at any time.
A student who withdraws from the program after the first week is not eligible for a refund.
Note: As an academic unit of the University of Delaware, the ELI is also subject to UD’s financial regulations, including its refund policy.
Trip Refund Policy
When students pay for a trip, any approved refunds for trips will be made as follows:
- If you paid by credit card, your refund will be made directly to the same credit card. It may take 5-7 business days from the time you request the refund until you receive it.
- If you paid by cash or check, you will receive a refund through a UD check. It may take as long as 4-5 weeks from the time you request the check refund until you receive it.
- If you paid a fee but cancel within one week before the trip, you might not be eligible for a refund.
In addition, any student who wants to request a refund must do so before the trip sign-up deadline. Any student cancellations after the deadline will NOT be refunded.
