Re: What ever happened to... DEC?
Many lines of win/nt code are from dec. Did you ever wonder why DEC had
such an "in" on windows/nt, or why the alpha is the only non-pentium
machine left (nt initially ran on powerpc, mips, alpha, x86)? I am told it
is because dec sued microsoft and during discovery the many common lines
of code showed up ... dec got a very nice legal agreement out of this.
