Well, at the point when we visited Maynard around 1970, our guide
mentioned that DEC was still doing their accouting/payroll on an
IBM mainfame, not sure if it was a 14xx or 70xx.  This was many
years after they'd been shipping PDP-6 & 10 systems, nominally
capable of runing business applications.  DEC also OEM'd Burroughs
fixed disk drives with their systems at one point and perhaps an
IBM tape drive or two.
