The University of Delaware has the opportunity to nominate one student leader for Campus Compact’s Newman Civic Fellowship for 2026-2027.

This national fellowship recognizes students who work collaboratively with their peers or communities to effect long-term social change; who take action in addressing issues of inequality and political polarization; and who demonstrate the potential for effective long-term civic engagement.

UD’s Community Engagement Initiative will be accepting applications for this opportunity, which helps students develop their potential for public leadership.

The ideal candidate is:

• an undergraduate student who plans to be enrolled next academic year
• a public problem solver who has a strong potential for public leadership who is committed to working with their communities
