Newark Police arrest undergraduate student

The Newark Police Department arrested a University undergraduate student on multiple charges related to drug possession.

An investigation in April led Newark Police’s street crimes unit to Michael Glass, 20, of Haworth, New Jersey. Pursuant to that investigation, a search warrant was executed at Glass’ residence at the University Courtyard Apartments. During the search, officers located nearly one pound of marijuana, more than 250 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and multiple dosage units of LSD.

Glass was taken into custody without incident. He faces seven charges related to drug possession, including three counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Glass has been released on $52,400 unsecured bail.
