Welcome to the Wellbeing Neighborhood

 

Student Wellbeing supports students’ health, wellness, sense of connection and ability to thrive. This new “neighborhood of wellbeing” at the south end of The Green includes Student Wellness and Health Promotion (SWHP) and the Center for Counseling and Student Development (CCSD) in Warner Hall, as well as Student Health Services (SHS) in Laurel Hall.

NCAA athletes are seen at Laurel Hall when the Sports Medicine Clinic is closed.

Parking and Transportation

Student Wellbeing offers a limited number of parking spots in Lot 32. These spots are for Student Wellbeing patients only. Student Wellbeing patients must use the services within Laurel Hall and/or Warner Hall. There is a sixty-minute limit on these spaces.

For additional parking spaces, Passport parking spots are available on the west side of the Warner Hall building. Please download the Passport Parking app and follow all directions concerning payment and timeline.

Students with ADA/handicapped placard or license plate can park in the service vehicle space, Passport spaces and ADA/handicapped spaces with a central permit. Handicapped parking without a central permit will need to use the Passport parking spots. Visit the UD Parking website for more information about parking permits and regulations.

On the University of Delaware Parking website, click the Parking Map icon to find the nearest available metered or permit parking option.

There is a convenient UD Shuttle Bus stop on South College Avenue a short walk to Student Health Service and Warner Hall. Visit the UD Transportation website for information about bus schedules, routes and live bus tracking.

Delaware Transit Corporation (DTC) operates DART First State, offering a statewide network of transportation options.

Services provided include fixed route, intercounty, seasonal bus, paratransit for people with disabilities, commuter train service contracted through SEPTA and Delaware Commute Solutions' ride matching program.

Visit DART First State to view fares, schedules and an interactive map. DART Route 10 provides bus support to Newark Train Station and Main Street.

Counseling Center Appointments

New to the Center for Counseling and Student Development or it’s been quite a while?

The Center currently uses a drop-in model for initial visits. Check in at the reception desk in 305 Warner Hall. Triages are generally seen on a first-come, first-served basis, but may be seen out of order or there may be a wait on peak days or during peak hours.

When arriving for a first-time visit (or restarting services after a period of time), please arrive 15–20 minutes prior to your appointment time to fill out new client paperwork.

Established client of CCSD?

Call 302-831-2141 to schedule an appointment with the Center for Counseling and Student Development.

When arriving for a scheduled (on-going) individual counseling appointment, plan to arrive 5–10 minutes early to fill out a brief inventory so that your appointment can begin on time.

Student Wellness and Health Promotion Appointments

Call 302-831-3457 to schedule Victim Support or Substance Use Support appointments through Student Wellness and Health Promotion.

Victim Support appointments can also be scheduled online through the UD Health Portal.

When arriving for a first-time visit, please arrive 15–20 minutes prior to your appointment time to fill out new client paperwork.

Student Health Services Appointments

Call 302-831-2226 to schedule an appointment with Student Health Services. General medical services and Sexual and Reproductive Health appointments can be scheduled online through the UD Health Portal.

Prior to all appointments, log into your UD Health Portal and complete the following.

  • Submit all required pre-appointment questionnaires (if applicable) in the Forms section.
  • Ensure the information in your Health History and Profile sections (including emergency contact and local address) is up-to-date.
  • Ensure your medical insurance card and prescription insurance card are uploaded via the Insurance Card section to minimize out-of-pocket costs for services not covered under the UD Wellbeing Fee.

To cancel an appointment:

  • Log into your UD Health Portal.
  • Click the Appointment section on the left side of the page.
  • Find the appointment you wish to cancel and choose “Cancel this appointment.”
  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time.
  • Masks are required in our facility for sick visits.
  • Please bring:
    • UD ID card
    • Medical insurance and prescription insurance cards
    • Any relevant documentation (lab results, hospital discharge paperwork, urgent care paperwork, etc.)
