Walk-In Appointments
First-time Counseling Appointments (A.K.A. Triage Appointments)
Is this your first time connecting with a counselor or has it been more than a semester since you last visited? We use a drop-in model for initial counseling visits.
- Check in at the reception desk in 305 Warner Hall. Triages are generally seen on a first-come, first-served basis, but may be seen out of order. There may be a wait on peak days or during peak hours.
- When arriving for a triage appointment, please allow 15–20 minutes to fill out new client paperwork.
- Students can also initiate counseling directly through TimelyCare, where they can select their counselor and schedule at their convenience.

Urgent Concerns
If you are experiencing a physical or mental health emergency, please dial 911.
If you have an urgent medical or mental health concern, you can walk in during normal business hours.
- For urgent medical concerns (chest pain, abnormal heartbeat, laceration, etc.), please visit Laurel Hall. If you're not sure if you're experiencing an urgent concern, please call Student Health Services at 302-831-2226, select option 0 and the staff can guide you.
- For urgent mental health concerns, select one of these options:
- Check in at the reception desk in 305 Warner Hall for an in-person visit.
- Access on-demand mental health support through TimelyCare and be connected with a licensed counselor via teletherapy within five minutes.
