Women’s Leadership Online Certificate
UD’s Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) and Human Resources are pleased to partner to offer employees an opportunity for leadership development in a dynamic interactive program. Women in this interactive program achieve their leadership goals and build strong professional networks through small group settings where expert facilitators lead focused cohorts.
The Women’s Leadership Online Certificate (WLOC) empowers women to:
- Clarify Leadership Vision
- Communicate with Power
- Lead with Emotional Intelligence
- Enable Diversity and Inclusion

UD HR will cover the registration fee for up to 10 applicants.
Eligibility:
- UD employees who are in a benefit-eligible position.
- Employees must commit to the time requirement of 5 live Zoom sessions and four self-paced online modules.

Application Process:
To apply for the Feb. 14-March 14, 2025 UD-HR sponsored cohort, please read the following:
Step 1. Submit Application Form (Dec. 31 deadline)
Step 2. Acceptance notification (Jan. 20)
Step 3. If the application is approved, register for the WLOC (Feb 1 deadline)
Applications for the Spring 2025 cohort are open through Dec. 31, 2024.
FAQ's
Human Resources will fund up to 10 applicants for the Spring 2025 offering.
Individuals interested in participating in the program will discuss with their manager and then complete an application. Individuals will be notified of the results of their application and those who are accepted will complete a WLOC Registration Form.

Participants will be notified within three weeks after the deadline to apply.
We understand that people may have standing conflicts. Attendance is critical for the program and to build relationships within the cohort. If you think you may have to miss a session, we suggest waiting for a future offering.
All participants who successfully complete the requirements will receive a certificate from the Women’s Leadership Initiative at UD.
If you are not selected through the UD partnership, you are encouraged to contact womensleadership@udel.edu if you have an alternative source to cover the registration fees.
Many participants share that they 1) have clarity of their leadership vision, 2) gain new awareness of their strengths and weaknesses, 3) cultivate meaningful connections and expand their professional network and 4) discover tools for practicing inclusive leadership and embracing diversity.
