After classroom assignments are complete for the semester, departments are able to request changes to classroom assignments via the Classroom Change Request form.  

Classroom space is limited and there is no guarantee that a room will be available on the day/time requested. Please see current course scheduling guidelines for more information.

 

Timeline

Classroom change requests are accepted approximately 4 weeks before the start of the term and Schedule of Classes departmental contacts will receive a communication when the request process is available.  Requests are no longer accepted approximately 7-10 days prior to the start of the semester. 

Deadlines for the 2024-2025 academic year are:

Fall 2024 - Friday, August 16

Winter 2025 - December (Date TBA)

Spring 2025 - January (Date TBA)

Summer 2025 - May (Date TBA)

 

Request Process

Classroom Change Request forms should be submitted by the Schedule of Classes Departmental Contact for the academic department of the course.  This is to ensure that departmental contacts are informed of requests for their area. 

Requests should only be submitted via the Classroom Change Request form in order to collect necessary information and track requests appropriately.  Requests should not be sent via email to the Scheduling Office.

 

Suggesting a Classroom

While not required, departments are encouraged to suggest an available space through the request form. Please review room availability in 25Live prior to initiating the request in order to determine if there is an available space.

Departments should only request a space that is unoccupied in 25Live.  While departments may use the Classroom Change Request process to swap classroom assignments within their own departmental offerings, this form should not be used to request that another department's class be displaced from their existing assignment.

 

Disability Accommodations

Faculty with disabilities that necessitate specific building/room requirements should register with the Office of Disability Support Services. They will arrange the classroom change request with the Registrar’s Office and a Classroom Change Request form is not needed.
