Fulbright students & visitors

The Center for Global Program and Services (CGPS) provides various specialized support for international students and scholars at the University of Delaware, including Fulbright Foreign Students, Visiting Student Researchers, and Fulbright Visiting Scholars. Fulbright visitors usually hold a J-1 visa that is maintained by their sponsor organization, such as IIE or Amideast. As such, sponsoring organizations maintain their SEVIS status in the U.S. and provide immigration guidance. CGPS staff actively liaises with sponsors and offers on-campus support such as orientation programs and engagement opportunities to the students and scholars.

At CGPS, the Associate Director for International Student Engagement and Success acts as a liaison with the sponsors for any immigration or wellbeing concerns for Fulbright Foreign students, while the Assistant Director for Scholar Services acts as a liaison with the sponsors for any immigration or wellbeing concerns for Fulbright Visiting Scholars.
