In the College of Health Sciences, we believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion are key drivers of academic excellence, impactful research, and proficient practice. We are committed to developing and implementing strategies to recruit and retain highly qualified students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, and nurture an inclusive environment with a sense of belonging and engagement. As a leader in health sciences training, it is our mission to train and mentor future clinicians and scientists who understand and appreciate diversity and have the cultural competence to interact effectively in a diversifying nation and world.

The CHS Health Sciences Summer Camp is among 50 programs receiving the 2019 Inspiring Programs in STEM Award from INSIGHT Into Diversity Magazine, the largest and oldest diversity, equity, and inclusion publication in higher education. Read more about winning this diversity award here.
