Duties include: assisting the directors with all teaching and administrative aspects of the Fightin’ Blue Hen Marching Band, Basketball Pep Band, and Symphonic Band. Additional responsibilities such as music arranging and show design are contingent upon the applicant’s qualifications. The 300-member University of Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hen Marching Band focuses on being a visually innovative musical performance ensemble. Our halftime productions are corps-style, incorporating contemporary show design as well as entertainment value.
To be considered for graduate funding, an application for admission to the University of Delaware must be submitted online by the application deadline. The application will require a music audition (see audition requirements), in addition to three letters of recommendation. One of the three letters must be from an undergraduate college marching band director, and another must be from an academic professor.
