X-Ray Services
Non-invasive X-ray exams are performed at SHS by registered radiologic technologists and read by board-certified radiologists at Delaware Imaging Network.
- SHS also performs X-rays for students who have orders from a non-UD healthcare provider. The student must have an order signed by a healthcare provider to have the X-ray performed.
- X-ray services are not included in the Wellbeing Fee. The cost of these services will be submitted to your insurance company by Delaware Imaging Network. Any remaining balance will be billed to your student account. It is the responsibility of the insurance holder to be familiar with the specific terms of your insurance plan.
- Patients may request copies of their X-ray images for ongoing care at an outside healthcare facility or for personal record. Images are copied to a CD that can be given directly to the patient or mailed at the patient's request.
- Additional radiology exams (ultrasound, CT scan, MRI, etc.) may be recommended by UD healthcare providers. These exams are not performed at SHS, but SHS can assist with scheduling at local imaging facilities.
