Give to the College

Alumni and friends are a critical component to our success

Our college depends strongly on alumni and friends to augment state funding and support from research contracts and grants. Gifts from individuals, businesses, and foundations empower us to provide our students with the finest education possible. You can designate your gift to the college, to the department or school of your choice, or to special funds dedicated to providing students with field experience.

Your gift will enable the college to fund
its wide array of ongoing and diverse programs.

Student researchers on the RV Daiber

School of Marine Science & Policy

You can help the School pay for ship time for undergraduates and other expenses related to their educational offerings. Day trips on the R/V Joanne Daiber are a highlight for undergraduates studying marine biology or oceanography and enable true hands-on learning.

Student working with GIS software

Department of Geography & Spatial Sciences

You can help provide outreach about geography by supporting the department in efforts like Geography Awareness Week, GIS Day and undergraduate mapathons. Understanding how place interacts with environmental data and society allows students to gain a fuller context of whatever it is that interests them.

Student on a field experience in western U.S.

Department of Earth Sciences

You can support the department’s varied offerings, from hands-on labs in Newark to local field trips throughout Delaware.

In addition, geology majors are required to take a field methods course that involves travel through the western United States. The Doc Thompson Fund helps make this essential training possible, providing partial support for expenses related to airfare, fuel, food, camping, expendables and equipment—expenses that many of our students would otherwise be unable to meet.

Environmental Field Experience Fund

Experience conducting research in real-world environments is just as vital for students majoring in marine science or the various specialties within geography. Your gift to this fund will help CEOE provide field experiences to all of its students.

To support this fund, click this link to visit the Make a Gift page, click "I'd like to search for a different option," and type "Environmental Field Experience Fund" in the search bar.
