


UD Graduate College hosts Spark! Symposium April 9

Short talks make UD’s cutting-edge research accessible to all
The University of Delaware Graduate College invites the community to hear short talks on some on the innovative research being done by UD graduate students at the spring Spark! Symposium, Wednesday, April 9, 4-7 p.m., at the Audion on UD’s Science, Technology and Advanced Research (STAR) Campus.
The theme for this event is “Within and Beyond Our Senses: Art, Exploration and Sustainability.” Four doctoral students and two master’s students will address this topic in their presentations on their research:
- Frederike Benz, College of Earth, Ocean and Environment, Marine Studies
- Tiziana Capizzi, College of Arts and Sciences, Art History
- Abigail Dudley, College of Arts and Sciences, Fine Arts
- Thaddeus Egnaczyk, College of Engineering, Chemical Engineering
- Rebecca Giles, College of Arts and Sciences, Fine Arts
- Pravesh Raghoo, Joseph R. Biden, Jr. School of Public Policy and Administration, Energy and Environmental Policy
Designed to inspire fresh dialogue among a diverse group of researchers, professionals and the public through concise and captivating presentations, Spark! Symposiums are aimed at anyone with a passion for discovering new knowledge. Each presentation is followed by an opportunity for the audience to ask questions and provide feedback, intended to foster dynamic discussions that are both enlightening and motivational.
Refreshments and networking opportunities will follow the presentations.
