Microelectronics and cybersecurity outreach at UD

Hands-on learning programs scheduled

The University of Delaware’s Center for Cybersecurity, Assurance and Privacy (CCAP) is launching a series of hands-on learning programs in microelectronics and cybersecurity, funded by the NSF CyberCorps grant. These free community programs offer exciting opportunities for students, parents and teachers to engage with cutting-edge technology.

  • Microelectronics Community Science Days (March 22 – May 10, 2025): Select Saturdays featuring hands-on activities in motors, nano drones, MEMS, robot vision and self-driving cars.
  • Microelectronics Week for High School Teachers (July 14 – July 18, 2025): A weeklong training with expert faculty, hands-on projects and a $2,000 stipend for 20 teachers.
  • Microelectronics Week for Students (July 28 – August 1, 2025): A five-day immersive experience covering electronics, microcontrollers, and cyber-physical systems.
  • Microelectronics Security Competition (Summer 2025): A five-week competition for high school and college teams exploring hardware security challenges.

All events will be held at UD’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Space is limited—apply today. Learn more at the center's Community Outreach webpage or contact cybersecurity-info@udel.edu.
