February 12, 2025
Registration open for February-April AI workshops for educators
The AI for Teaching & Learning Working Group invites the UD community to join the spring 2025 Reimagining PedAIgogy: AI Literacy for Educators series. This collaborative initiative, offered through UD Information Technologies, the Library, Museums and Press, and other campus partners, provides practical insights for integrating AI into academic and professional environments.
These workshops are open to all instructors, researchers, teaching assistants and staff, offering virtual sessions that explore various aspects of AI application in education. The series kicks off Feb. 25 and 26 with two engaging sessions:
Using Generative AI Tools for Optimizing Writing and Research (Tuesday, Feb. 25, noon - 1:15 p.m.)
This workshop demonstrates how instructors and TAs can enhance writing and research through more effective and comprehensive searches. Participants will need a smart device to explore AI tools such as Perplexity, Elicit, Consensus, Gemini and Copilot.
Using Gemini and Copilot To Promote Teaching with AI (Wednesday, Feb. 26, noon - 1 p.m.)
This hands-on workshop explores the pedagogical potential of AI tools Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot and is designed for educators at all technical levels. Learn how these AI assistants can enhance your course preparation, content creation and student engagement through practical demonstrations and guided exercises. Participants will need a smart device.
Don’t miss out on this chance to engage with colleagues across the University and explore how AI can support and enhance your work.
