Learn more about AI's evolving role in fintech

Nektarios Tsoutsos and Gang Wang, co-directors of the University of Delaware’s FinTech Innovation Hub, are excited to announce the hub’s spring web series. There will be three virtual sessions between Feb. 19 and May, each highlighting AI's evolving role in the fintech industry. All students, faculty, alumni and industry professionals are welcome to attend.

"The Importance of Risk Management and Compliance in a Changing World," the first session of the series, will be held on Feb. 19. It will focus on the rise of AI-driven technologies, data breaches, rapidly evolving regulations, new privacy standards and increased globalization and the unprecedented challenges that organizations are facing. The world of compliance and risk management will evolve under the new federal administration; however, the importance of compliance and risk management has never been greater. Proper understanding and planning are vital. AI is beginning to play an important role in compliance and risk. Understanding how it all fits together, whether you’re new to finance or an experienced risk professional will help shape the path of the financial services sector and beyond.

Registration is required for Zoom access, and the deadline is Feb. 18.

The second session, "Introducing AI Agent and Agentic Workflow," will provide an overview of how AI agents work within predefined or autonomous workflows to automate complex tasks and optimize processes, driving efficiency and innovation. The final session of the series, "An Awkward Matrimony: Banks and FinTechs Learning to Speak in Common Compliance Terms," will have industry experts share their perspectives and suggestions on fostering more harmonious approaches to regulatory compliance. Details about these sessions will be shared on the hub's website.
