College of Education and Human Development to host celebration of student research on April 11

On April 11, the University of Delaware College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) will host the annual Marion H. Steele Symposium to share and celebrate the innovative research of its undergraduate and graduate students in education, human development and related disciplines.

Over the past 40 years, more than 450 undergraduate and graduate students have presented their research in this symposium. This year, the event will feature student presentations and poster sessions, remarks from Rena Hallam, interim dean of CEHD, a panel on community-engaged research in CEHD and the presentation of student awards.

Students will share research on AI in teaching and learning, the experiences of first generation graduate students, literacy and writing, math motivation, spatial skills and the outcomes of children who are adopted or in foster care, among other topics.

The event will be held from 12:30-6 p.m. on April 11, 2025, at the FinTech Innovation Hub on UD’s STAR Campus. All UD community members are invited to attend.

This event is made possible through the generous support of the Steele Family in memory of Marion H. Steele, a UD alumna.
