A panel discussion about UD's architectural past, present and future
Join renowned architects, architectural historians, conservators and historic preservationists on April 16, 2025, from 2-4:30 p.m. for a discussion about the University of Delaware’s Architecture and Historic Preservation: Past, Present and Future.
Peter Krawchyk, vice president of University of Delaware Facilities, Real Estate and Auxiliary Services, will host and moderate the panel.
Panel speakers include
- Bill Allen, architectural historian of the Capitol
- Paul Kapp, historic preservationist of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
- Barksdale Maynard, architectural historian, Delaware.
- Kevin Smith, principle of the Robert AM Stern Architectural Firm
- Damie Stillman, former chair of the University of Delaware Department of Art History and past president of the Society of Architectural Historians
- Natalie Karas, conservator, Building Conservation Associates, Philadelphia
Along with University of Delaware faculty
- Catherine Matsen, Department of Art Conservation & Winterthur Museum’s Center for Conservation
- Chandra Reedy, Center for Historic Architecture and Design
- Vimalin Rujivacharakul, Department of Art History
