The Office of Development and Alumni Relations is pleased to announce the relaunch of UD’s new and improved crowdfunding platform, HenFunder.

The platform provides a simple and effective way for the Blue Hen community to raise funds for important programs and causes. In addition to hosting UD-approved fundraising projects throughout the year, HenFunder also serves as the hub for the University’s two annual giving days, GivingTuesday and I Heart UD Giving Day.

New and improved features on HenFunder include:

• Champions Program: Using a personalized link, you can become a champion for your favorite cause or program. Set a goal and track your progress as you rally friends, family and colleagues to support a project that matters to you.
• Enhanced User Experience: With faster load times and mobile-friendly displays, you can explore projects, make donations and engage seamlessly from any device.
• Digital Wallet: HenFunder will soon support digital wallet capabilities, making it easier and faster to make a difference at UD with just a few taps.

Previous projects have raised funds for athletic and academic competitions, research experiences, internships, scholarships, album recordings, winter coats for families in need, customized vehicles for children with disabilities and much more.

Have an idea you’d like featured on HenFunder? Fill out an application here. 100% of the funds raised will support your project. The most successful projects last about 30 to 45 days and involve a group of “champions” who plan grassroots outreach efforts to their personal networks.

Want to see the new platform in action? GivingTuesday is less than three weeks away, and all the day’s projects will be featured here starting on Nov. 15.
