Introducing UD's New Employee Peer Mentoring Program
December 09, 2024
Applications for spring semester pairings are open
Starting a new job can evoke a wide range of emotions, as employees often experience excitement, nervousness and uncertainty in their initial days. To help make the transition into the UD community as seamless as possible, Human Resources has developed the New Employee Peer Mentoring Program launching spring 2025.
This opt-in, semester-long program aims to engage and connect new full-time faculty and staff (less than two years at UD) with the broader organization by pairing them with an experienced, tenured employee (five-plus years at UD) who will guide and support them as they acclimate to working at UD.
New employees will gain valuable insights into UD culture, enjoy a supportive environment to ask questions, leverage their mentor’s network to build professional relationships and enhance their sense of belonging.
Tenured employees will have the opportunity to share their insights about UD, help new employees navigate challenges and pursue opportunities, strengthen professional relationships and develop leadership and communication skills through mentoring.
New and tenured employees are encouraged to apply now to become a mentee or mentor. Applications will be accepted through Jan. 17, 2025.
