Courtyard hotel offers variety of services

Special rates available for UD offices

During today’s challenging financial times, members of the University of Delaware community are reminded that the Courtyard by Marriott, Newark–University of Delaware offers exceptional services and resources for meetings and activities while keeping expenses within the University. Special rates are available for UD-affiliated and corporate guests.

The University Courtyard by Marriott is owned by the University, managed by the Shaner Corp. and serves as an educational resource for the Department of Hospitality and Sport Business Management in the Lerner College.

Located next to Clayton Hall Conference Center on the Laird Campus and near popular Newark attractions, the hotel offers comfortable rooms, meeting space options and free parking.

Dining at the hotel is open not only to guests but to the University community and general public as well. The on-site restaurant, The Bistro, features American cuisine and Starbucks® coffee, and its award-winning crabcakes have been listed among the best in Delaware and the region. Each week, the executive chef creates dinner specials for fine dining options. The Lobby Bar and Lounge offers handcrafted cocktails, fine wines and local craft beer.
