REP's VITA & VIRGINIA Now Playing

Performing For Two Weeks Only

The Resident Ensemble Players, UD's resident professional theatre company, opens the 23-24 season of plays with Dame Eileen Atkins’s VITA & VIRGINIA. Catch it on stage now through Sunday, Oct. 1.

Adapted from letters and diaries to deftly weave the story of the improbable love affair and enduring friendship between aristocratic novelist and poet, Vita Sackville-West, and aloof literary icon, Virginia Woolf. This play is a beautiful rebuke against today’s culture of hastily sent emails and tweets. This was an age when people wrote profusely and frequently, though few were as adept at correspondence as Vita and Virginia.
