Indigenous Enterprise: Preservation, performance and progression

Renowned Native American dance troupe to visit UD

With members from Indigenous tribes from across North America, Indigenous Enterprise presents a diverse range of tribes and dance styles, promoting Indigenous culture through the power of song and dance.

During the time at UD, the group will meet with students from art, dance, fashion, music and theater to share their knowledge and experience in the art form, as well as visit area schools and meet with pre-service teachers.

The residency concludes with a performance in Mitchell Hall on Wednesday, Oct. 25. Doors open at 6 p.m. Admission is free, but registration is required.

The residency is supported, in part, by University of Delaware College of Arts and Sciences; the Jessie Ball duPont Foundation; and by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The Division promotes Delaware arts events on DelawareScene.com.
