Get your golden ticket for Willy Wonka, a family-friendly musical

The Community Music School's Musical Theatre Camp proudly presents Willy Wonka, July 28, 29, 30

The University of Delaware's Community Music School Musical Theatre Camp students will present Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka TYA in three shows starting Friday, July 28 at the Thompson Recital Hall in the Center for the Arts. (TYA stands for Theatre for Young Audiences.)

In the musical, Charlie and friends tour Willy Wonka's chocolate factory in hopes of winning a life-time supply of candy. This 90-minute, 1-act, musical includes a live pit orchestra and is based on Roald Dahl's fantastical tale. All ages will enjoy this scrumdidilyumptious show.

Shows on July 28 and 29 will begin at 7 p.m. The show on July 30 will begin at 2 p.m. The show is free for children age 5 and under. The cost is $5 for older children, students and seniors. Tickets for other adults are $10. Tickets can be purchased at the door (based on availability) or in advance online (processing fees applied for online sales).

This program is supported, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The division promotes Delaware arts events on www.DelawareScene.com.
