Graduation events being planned to celebrate the Class of 2022
Planning is now underway for the University of Delaware’s in-person celebrations of the achievements of the Class of 2022.
A University-wide Commencement ceremony will be held at 9 a.m., Saturday, May 28, in Delaware Stadium. President Dennis Assanis will preside over this event, which will feature a Commencement speaker and the presentation of honorary degrees.
In addition, the University’s nine colleges and the Joseph R. Biden, Jr. School of Public Policy and Administration will hold Convocation ceremonies to celebrate their students on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 26-28, at various campus locations. The Convocation schedule includes:
- Agriculture and Natural Resources, 12:30 p.m., May 28, Bob Carpenter Center
- Arts and Sciences, 1:30 p.m., May 27, Delaware Stadium
- Biden School, 6 p.m., May 27, The Green
- Business and Economics, 8 a.m., May 27, Delaware Stadium
- Doctoral Hooding Ceremony, 2 p.m., May 26, The Green
- Earth, Ocean and Environment, 2 p.m., May 27, The Green
- Education and Human Development, 10 a.m., May 27, The Green
- Engineering, 4 p.m., May 28, Bob Carpenter Center
- Honors Degree Medal Ceremony, 6 p.m., May 26, The Green
- Health Sciences, 7 p.m., May 27, Delaware Stadium
Tickets for Commencement and all the Convocations will be required, and all ceremonies will also be livestreamed.
As additional information becomes available, it will be shared on the Commencement website.
