Register now for Summer Institute on Teaching on June 1 (in-person) and June 2 (online)
Registration is now open for the University of Delaware's 2022 Summer Institute on Teaching (SIT).
SIT will be held on Wednesday, June 1 (in-person) and Thursday, June 2 (online). This is an intensive and celebratory multi-day event that brings together educators from across the University to build and strengthen a community around teaching and learning. It highlights emerging and established pedagogical practices, resources and technology tools with an emphasis on evidence and scholarship. It also provides a showcase for the exceptional efforts and accomplishments of UD’s educators.
The first day of the event will open with a keynote address from Althea Kaminske, associate professor of psychology at St. Bonaventure University and member of The Learning Scientists, about how we can use the science of learning and memory to improve teaching and learning.
The second day will feature a panel of Delaware high school teachers and UD education faculty who will help us understand how high school is being taught now and how that experience shapes expectations for those students when they enroll in college.
The event is free and advance registration is strongly encouraged particularly for the first day when lunch will be provided. Register at http://www.udel.edu/009444.
More information about the event is available on the SIT website: https://sites.udel.edu/sit/
