Colleagues remember long-time secretary in University Development

Jacquelyn Lee "Jackie" Goodwin, who worked as a secretary at the University of Delaware for some 38 years, passed away on Sept. 25, 2021. She was 90.

Ms. Goodwin joined the UD staff as executive secretary in University Development in 1978. She initially retired in 2003 and then returned to work the same year as a secretary in University Development where she stayed until 2016.

Her colleagues in the office remember her as a very nice person who was always smiling and who was a great cook.

According to her obituary, when she wasn’t working or doting on her grandchildren, she loved cooking or cheering for Philadelphia sports teams.

She is survived by her children, Lisa Goodwin, Barbara Zickgraf (James), Kimberly Hamilton (Hank) and Rob Goodwin; and grandchildren, Russell Goodwin (Kate), Jamie Harris, Travis and Curtis Hamilton.
