Overcoming Imposter Syndrome — Ask Me Anything Panel

Ask our Experts anything about imposter syndrome. Recognize it. Overcome it. Advocate for others.

Do you feel like you aren’t qualified to do the work you are doing?

Do you have a fear of "being exposed" for not being talented enough?

Do you ever feel like a fraud?

If you’ve answered "yes" to any of the above questions, you might have Imposter Syndrome.

Imposter Syndrome can affect anyone, and up to 70% of adults may experience Imposter Syndrome at least once in their life. Imposter syndrome can prevent objectively competent and successful people from pursuing new opportunities for growth at work, in relationships, or in their hobbies.

The good news is that there are many skills you can develop to combat, overcome and manage Imposter Syndrome. In partnership with the University of Delaware's Alfred Lerner College of Lerner Business and Economics, Lerner Career Services, and Association for Computing Machinery's Council on Women (ACM-W), UD Women in Technology (WIT) will be hosting a panel on Imposter Syndrome on Friday, March 26 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Attendees can expect to learn:
- how Imposter Syndrome presents itself,
- how to cope with your own Imposter Syndrome, and
- how to support or mentor others that may be experiencing Imposter Syndrome.
