Ryan Carty introduced as new football coach

Carty was a quarterback on the Blue Hens’ 2003 national championship team
Ryan Carty was introduced on Monday, Dec. 13, as the University of Delaware’s new football coach, the 25th in the program’s history.
Carty is a UD alumnus and played quarterback on the Blue Hens’ 2003 national championship team. UD President Dennis Assanis and Chrissi Rawak, the director of intercollegiate athletics and recreation services, welcomed Carty at the news conference in the Whitney Athletic Center next to Delaware Stadium. Blue Hens fans were in attendance and cheered the announcement.
Carty spent the last four seasons as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. To learn more about Carty, please visit bluehens.com.
