University of Delaware students will begin fall move-in this year from Wednesday, Aug. 25, to Sunday, Aug. 29.

• Aug. 25, Wednesday, Early Check In, 3-7 p.m.
• Aug. 26, Thursday, First Year Move In, 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
• Aug. 27, Friday, First Year Move In, 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
• Aug. 28, Saturday, Upper Division Move In, 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
• Aug. 29, Sunday, Exceptions, 9 - 11:30 a.m.

Except for students living at University Courtyards Apartment, all resident students have been instructed to check in and receive their room keys at the Bob Carpenter Center, before heading to their residence halls to unload and move their vehicles to long-term parking.

All lots surrounding or near residence Halls such as lots 3, 50, 54, 55, 34C, Trabant Garage, Perkins Garage and Lot 53 will see an uptick in volume.

Courtney Street will temporarily be closed to westbound traffic on Aug. 26 and 27 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to accommodate students moving into Harrington Hall.

When possible, employees who can work remotely during those two days are asked to do so in order to avoid the related traffic and congestion around residence hall areas.

Parking as well as loading/unloading off Academy Street is prohibited.

Parking Services staff and University Police will be staffing key areas and monitoring fire lanes around residence halls during the aforementioned dates and times.
