Zoom Video Communication, Inc., is requiring a new client update be installed prior to Saturday, May 30, in order for users to continue hosting or participating in Zoom meetings. The upgrade includes enhanced security features and controls, which are important for University of Delaware users of the software.

If you are using a UD-owned and managed machine, your IT administrator will run the update and you do not need to take additional steps. If you are not using a UD-owned and managed machine, you can verify the version of Zoom you have installed by visiting Zoom’s Help “About Zoom” page, and check that your Zoom Version Number is 5.0 or greater. You can also check for updates in the Zoom application or simply download and install the latest version of Zoom.
