Making connections outside the classroom
University of Delaware students will have a one-of-a-kind digital experience this fall with the Involvement Fair 2.0, a special online event that is designed to give all Blue Hens -- particularly the first-year class -- an opportunity to get involved, build connections and make friends outside their virtual classrooms.
Involvement Fair 2.0 will be held virtually from 1-4 p.m., Monday, Aug. 31, through the Involvement Fair RSO Showcase and Zoom.
With nearly 400 Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) on campus, the fair will offer casual and interactive opportunities for students to find their niche. During this year’s fair, students will have the opportunity to discover, explore and engage with organizations and departments.
The Involvement Fair 2.0 RSO Showcase will feature 200 60-second Welcome videos to aid students in finding groups they are interested in. Each RSO will host three 15-minute Zoom information sessions between 1-4 p.m. Students will be able to create their own schedule to visit the groups they’re interested in. Open drop-ins for Q&A, breakout rooms and other engaging activities also will be facilitated.
Presented by UD Student Centers and formerly known as Activities Night, this popular biannual event has been presented for over 40 years as a way for students to make connections on campus through involvement in student organizations. The event is free and open to the entire campus.
