Construction on the 6-story, 100,000-square-foot FinTech building will commence on or around April 15 on the University of Delaware’s Science, Technology and Advanced Research (STAR) Campus. The work is projected to last through November 2021.

The new building is being erected through a partnership among UD, Delaware Technology Park (DTP) and Discover Bank. Its establishment will add a facility that taps into the evolving world of financial services technology — commonly called FinTech — with an eye on growth for Delaware. Construction tradespeople are considered essential workers under Delaware’s State of Emergency orders and are allowed to continue operations during the state stay-at-home order. UD personnel are monitoring all contractors working on University property for compliance with social distancing directives.
