Blue Hen Success expansion
September 12, 2019
Advising platform now available for all undergraduate students
The Blue Hen Success platform, www.bluehensuccess.udel.edu, is now available to all University of Delaware undergraduate students, allowing students to log in and use the system to schedule advising and tutoring appointments.
An important component in keeping students on track to graduate in four years, Blue Hen Success is helping more advisers recognize and intervene with students who need extra support, while empowering students with technology to make getting help easier. The platform was fully launched to advisers and faculty in 2017, and then–on a gradual basis–expanded to undergraduate students for advising appointment scheduling.
Students can now also use the Blue Hen Success system to schedule an appointment with an individual tutor. (Alternatively, students may opt to visit the Office of Academic Enrichment, which offers free drop-in help and group tutoring.)
The University has taken many steps to help students stay on track, including launching a new advising website, www.advising.udel.edu, where undergraduate students can find information on advising, policies and procedures, along with academic tools and resources. The College of Arts and Sciences also enhanced its advising model with nine new advisers for first- and second-year students.
Additionally, UD launched a new adviser-facing website, www.advising.udel.edu/for-advisors, to provide faculty and staff advisers with a central repository of important advisement tools, policies and FAQs.
