Art in Science

All UD researchers invited to submit images for exhibit

Submissions are now being accepted for the 2019 UD Art in Science Exhibit, in which undergraduate and graduate University of Delaware students, postdocs, faculty and staff can showcase eye-catching images from their research in any field of science, technology, engineering or math.

The deadline for submitting an entry is Feb. 22.

The 2019 exhibit will be on display in the Patrick T. Harker Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Laboratory for the month of April and at the Blue Ball Barn in Alapocas Run State Park in Wilmington, Delaware, for the month of May.

First-, second- and third-place prizes will be awarded for the top three entries, as chosen by the Art in Science committee.

The annual Art in Science exhibit began three years ago and is geared toward highlighting the cutting-edge research being conducted at UD.

The program’s goal is to educate and engage the local community and spark interest in STEM activities in underrepresented student populations, through exhibits that showcase artwork from University researchers and through hands-on art in science activities with local K-12 students.

Use the web address at the bottom of this article to access the submission form. Please note that image files larger than 50 MB cannot be uploaded through this website. If you would like to submit a larger image, you can do so through a Google drive link; instructions are in the submission form.

The 2019 exhibit is sponsored by the colleges of Engineering and of Arts and Sciences and the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
