UD’s student-operated Vita Nova restaurant features newly renovated bistro room
Spring is in the air at the University of Delaware’s student-operated restaurant Vita Nova. “Vita Nova in Italian means new life," said Sheryl Kline, deputy dean and professor of hospitality in UD's Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics. "This year, Vita Nova also has a new look.”
Located on the second floor of the Trabant University Center, Vita Nova will open for lunch starting on Monday, Feb. 18, and for dinner starting on Wednesday, Feb. 20. The newly renovated bistro room, part of a series of recent updates, will also be opening for reservations starting Feb. 20. Vita Nova offers fresh gourmet cuisine prepared and served by UD hospitality business management students.
The restaurant offers a three course gourmet lunch Monday-to-Friday starting at 11:30 a.m. and a four-course dinner in its elegant dining room Wednesday-to-Friday starting at 5:30 p.m. Vita Nova lunch menus are posted weekly during the semester on the Vita Nova Facebook page, along with information about upcoming events and dinner menus. Reservations are recommended for both lunch and dinner at Vita Nova, as tables fill in advance.
Vita Nova can also be rented for your meetings and events this spring. For reservations or to inquire about rentals, call 302-831-0500, email vitanova@udel.edu or visit Vita Nova online. Consider Vita Nova for all of your on-campus entertaining!
