Delaware INBRE accepting applications for Summer Scholars program

Biomedical research program offers mentored research opportunities

Delaware INBRE is accepting applications for its 2019 Summer Scholars program, which provides paid undergraduate biomedical research opportunities across the state.

The program offers rising sophomore, juniors and seniors from Delaware or attending a Delaware institution of higher education the chance to do mentored research at one of the six Delaware INBRE partner institutions: the University of Delaware, Delaware State University, Wesley College, Delaware Technical Community College, Christiana Care Health System and Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children.

INBRE stands for the IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence. It is funded by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences. One of the goals of Delaware INBRE is to build research capacity in the state, in part by increasing the number of biomedical researchers.

The application period closes March 1. Applicants will receive final acceptance notices by April 5, 2019. To apply, visit https://ugresearch.udel.edu/PUB_Program.aspx.
