Ruggerio, who has worked as a consultant at the University for nearly four years, will report directly to the president and work closely with University senior administration to further enhance government and community relations, cultivating productive partnerships with city, county and state elected officials and their staffs.

Ruggerio is the founder of Dover-based Ruggerio Willson & Associates, which is consistently ranked as one of the top firms in the state representing a wide array of businesses, including many Fortune 500 companies. He serves on the board of UD’s Department of Political Science and International Relations and is a board member of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Delaware Film Commission. In 2008, Ruggerio represented Delaware as National Committeeman and a super delegate to the DNC convention.
