Further improvements begin this winter with new Dunkin’ coffeehouse

Dining at Perkins Student Center at the University of Delaware will undergo a second wave of renovations that will kick off when the campus community returns from the upcoming holiday break. Combined with feedback from UD students, Dining Services worked closely with Student Centers and a student committee to develop the vision of dining at Perkins.

This winter Dining Services’ new Dunkin’ will be constructed where the Perkins’ information desk was previously located. It will deliver a unique coffeehouse experience in a more centrally located area in Perkins Student Center. Its new home will enhance the building’s interior and increase visibility for student activities and promotions.

Einstein Bros. Bagels in the Harker ISE Lab will be open during Winter Session while Dunkin’ is closed and relocated.

In March, The Scrounge will close and Dining Services administrative office will relocate to make way for an indoor, outdoor diner along Academy Street, updates to the existing food service areas and enhancements to Perkins’ quick, on-the-go offerings. All are expected to open in time for the 2020-21 academic year.

During this last phase and throughout the summer, food trucks, like The Fry Box, will serve East Campus on a rotating schedule to ensure uninterrupted food service to the neighborhood.

Dining Services’ Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts (@DiningUD) continue to be a resource for on-campus dining updates.
