Police investigate damage at One Easton apartments

Newark Police were dispatched for a report of criminal mischief at the One Easton apartment building in Newark around 6:02 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 24.

Arriving officers found that the glass to the front door of the building had been shattered.

Surveillance video showed a man wearing a black and red baseball hat, sleeveless St. Louis Cardinals Wainwright shirt, gray shorts and gray shoes. He attempted to enter the building, and when he was unsuccessful, he kicked the door multiple times, shattering the glass.

The police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect shown in the surveillance video. (See images below.) Anyone who knows his identity is asked to call Cpl. R. Martin at 302-366-7100 x. 3470 or rmartin@newark.de.us. Additional methods for providing information to Newark Police can be found on the department’s tips page, where a reward may be available.
