Exit expected to be blocked until May 10

Utility work in the Alison Hall parking lot, off Academy Street on the University of Delaware's Newark campus, will require the closure of the lot's northern exit for two to three weeks, from Thursday, April 25, until approximately Friday, May 10.

The parking lot itself will remain open, and flaggers will be stationed at the south entrance to direct traffic and advise motorists when the lot is full.

Vehicles will not be allowed into the lot when there are no parking spaces available. Drop-off of passengers also will not be allowed in the parking lot itself.

Those with mobility challenges or special needs will be allowed to enter the lot for drop-offs and pick-ups.

The work is part of the chilled water pipe installation project.
