First Tech Showcase will promote collaboration among Delaware's entrepreneurial community
Horn Entrepreneurship will hold the first University of Delaware Tech Innovation Showcase on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., in Perkins Student Center. The Showcase is an opportunity to engage with UD’s top scientists and engineers who are creating solutions to the world’s biggest problems.
Christina Pellicane, director of commercialization programs at Horn Entrepreneurship, explained she organized the Tech Innovation Showcase “to encourage the exchange of collaboration between any researcher or innovator at UD, regional investors, companies, entrepreneurs and others in the regional innovation ecosystem. We also encourage students at any level to attend.” There is already a diverse representation among the registered attendees to provide the environment for which this showcase was designed.
The showcase will begin with networking and registration followed by a keynote address and a panel discussion with local deep tech entrepreneurs. The showcase, open from 3-5 p.m., will feature research in the commercialization process representative of programs available through UD.
