The University of Delaware Outdoor Pool will open for the summer at 11 a.m., Sunday, May 27, and several membership options are available for UD employees, students and community members.

The pool features a splash pool for kids 3 and under, tube slides, more than 300 lounge chairs, pavilion area, snack bar and more. Summer swim team, swim lessons and party rentals are also available. View the pool and lap swimming hours at www.udel.edu/outdoorpool/hours.

UD students and full-time employees can receive discounted membership options by providing their UD ID when registering online. The individual season membership is $185 for full-time employees and students. Full-time employees can also purchase a family membership for $255 total for the first two members and $20 for each additional minor dependent and $100 for each additional adult dependent (age 24 and older). Every individual and family membership will receive five free guest passes (a $30 value) to be used any day during the 2018 season. Purchases can be made online at www.udel.edu/outdoorpool/hours or at the Fred Rust Ice Arena box office from 8 a.m.-6 p.m., Mondays through Fridays.

University staff, faculty and students also can use the pool at a daily rate of $6 with a valid UD ID.

The UD Outdoor Pool hosts a variety of fun events throughout the summer, including its Opening Day Party on May 27, Fourth of July Party, Member Appreciation Day and two late-night swim parties. The Opening Day Party on May 27 will feature fun activities, including the UDairy Creamery Moo Mobile with $1 single scoops from 1-3 p.m. and a magic show from 1-2 p.m.
