Annual fundraiser taking place April 6-15
The University of Delaware’s radio station WVUD will hold its annual fundraising campaign, Radiothon, from April 6 to April 15. Donations from listeners during Radiothon are used to help fund student led radio initiatives as well as to provide for technological upgrades.
This year's fundraising goal is $50,000 to coincide with the kickoff of WVUD's yearlong 50th anniversary celebration, which includes many themed events.
In October 1968, WHEN signed on at UD with the lines "WHEN is now and you ain't heard nothing yet.” Fifty years later, with incarnations including WHEN, WDRB, WXDR, and eventually WVUD, 91.3 FM continues to be the voice of the University of Delaware.
