Registration open to employees through April 16

The University of Delaware will host Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day on Thursday, April 26. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the national program, developed by the Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Foundation.

In keeping with this year’s national theme of “Service Force: Agents of Positive Change,” the UD program will provide children of faculty and staff members the opportunity to explore, dream and imagine their calling.

The deadline for registration is Monday, April 16. View the full schedule and register online.

A variety of group activities will be offered from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., allowing children ages eight through 17 to accompany their parents/guardians during the work day for immersive experiences including tours of the ISE Lab and STAR Campus, introductions to UD Athletics and the Police Department, photos with YoUDee and Baby Blue, and more.

The program includes a lunch buffet in the Rodney room of Perkins Student Center and ice cream vouchers that can be used at UDairy Creamery. All registered children will receive a backpack and Frisbee.

Participation is voluntary and at the discretion of the employee’s supervisor.

The cost to register for the program is $5 for the parent/guardian and $5 for each child. Employees may pay by credit card or online check here
