Roaming Raven food truck to make debut at Delaware Stadium

University of Delaware Dining will introduce a new selection of game day eats to Delaware Stadium. The Roaming Raven, a Newark-based food truck, will be stationed at the southwest corner of the stadium (closest to the Bob Carpenter Center and next to the student section) during Saturday games on Oct. 14 and Nov. 11.

The Roaming Raven is managed by the Ashby Hospitality Group, which was founded by UD alumni, Robert BE77 and Sandra Ashby EHD77, and is currently operated by their son, Marc Ashby BE09. The Ashby Hospitality Group also owns and operates other local restaurants including Deer Park Tavern, McGlynns Pubs, 8th and Union Kitchen in Wilmington, and the historic Cantwell’s Tavern in Odessa, Delaware.

The Roaming Raven serves a variety of hot sandwiches including barbecue pulled pork, Philly-style chicken and beef cheesesteaks, sausage, pepper and onion sandwiches, as well as a wide variety of tater tot creations, including traditional “Naked” tots, Crabby tots and “kitchen sink” tots with Old Bay, Cheez Whiz, barbecue pulled pork and a fried egg.

UD Dining’s concessions and beverage operations will continue to offer other local favorites at Delaware Stadium, including Botto’s Italian Sausage, Chick-fil-A sandwiches, Grotto Pizza and french fries, chicken fingers and boneless wings at The Fry Box. Delaware Stadium’s Beer Gardens, open to all adults over the age of 21 with valid driver's license, will serve Coors Light, Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA, Dogfish Head Namaste and Iron Hill Oktoberfest at the game on Oct. 14.
